All-On-4 Dental Implants

Tooth loss is a major issue that interferes with every aspect of your life. One of the most obvious consequences of tooth loss is the impact it has on your smile.

Your teeth perform many important jobs. One of the lesser-known roles of your teeth is the role that they play in the strength of your jawbone. Every time you chew, your tooth roots stimulate your jawbone. This stimulation tells your body to send essential nutrients to the bone and surrounding areas.

Following tooth loss, stimulation is lost. When this happens, fewer nutrients are sent. Over time, the bone weakens and loses mass. Dental implant posts replace your missing tooth roots and help to restore stimulation to your jawbone. This aids in stopping and preventing bone loss in your jaw.

Traditional treatment for replacing an entire arch of missing teeth is a denture. Dentures are removable prosthetic teeth. They consist of replacement teeth set into a base that sits directly on your gums.

They are designed to look much more natural than previous dentures, including dentures of just a few decades ago. While dentures restore many of the functions of your missing teeth, they still have many disadvantages. They require significant care, can slip out of place and cause discomfort, and cannot stop bone loss in your jaw.

Full Arch Replacement With Dental Implants

Dental implants are a modern alternative to traditional dentures. This unique treatment uses small titanium posts to support your new teeth. The posts are surgically placed into your jawbone where the bone gradually fuses to them and stabilizes them in your jaw.

The posts essentially become new roots that not only support your new teeth but also restore the stimulation to your jaw to stop and prevent bone loss.

Dental implants help to stop this bone loss, preserving the integrity of your jaw. However, if you have lost too much bone mass, the jawbone may not be strong enough to support the necessary implants.

What Is The All-On-4, All-On-X Treatment?

We can help to replace a full arch of missing teeth or terminal dentition. Using this technique, and our state-of-the art technology, an entire arch of teeth is removed and replaced with implants and a new smile in the same day. This is done with a treatment called All-on-4, also known as All-on-X. With this treatment, your arch of replacement teeth is supported by 4-6 implants.

Two posts are placed vertically at the front of the mouth, where there is naturally more bone mass present. The other two posts are placed at the back of the jaw, one on each side. These posts are inserted at a 45-degree angle. In addition to maximizing contact, this angle of the upper jaw helps to avoid piercing the sinus cavities.

The All-on-X treatment concept provides you with the incredible benefits of implants, along with replacement teeth in the same day. This treatment modality has many unique benefits, including:

  • Requiring less surgery
  • A shorter recovery period
  • Avoiding the need for bone grafting and a sinus lift
  • Greater affordability

Replace Your Teeth In A Day!

You no longer have to wait for two or three months to get your dental implants. In the past, this was the time frame dentists said was necessary so healing could take place. During this time, you would have to live with the discomfort of having to wear dentures. This wasn’t only awkward, but it was also an unwelcome experience for many people.

Today there is the revolutionary procedure of getting your teeth replaced in just one day. It does require an appropriate workup and exhaustive planning so that on the date of your scheduled surgery, your bad teeth are extracted, and a non-removable denture is secured. Four to six months later, your permanent prosthesis is attached.

You do not have to worry about your non-removable denture, though, since it has the advantages of both removable dentures and a fixed replacement. As such, it safely adheres to your mouth where it feels natural without the bulky feeling you would experience when wearing removable dentures.

With your non-removable denture in place, you can eat, talk, and smile just like you would with your natural teeth. Additionally, you won’t have any food particles trapped where they would make your mouth feel sore. This lets you enjoy all types of food.

Getting your new teeth in a single day offers you nothing but comfort and convenience. You simply walk in for the procedure and walk out wearing a new set of pearly, white teeth.

If you have lost an entire arch of teeth and your jawbone is too weak to support the necessary implants required for a typical full arch restoration, you may be a candidate for the All-on-4 dental implants.
